Instrumental in organizing the University of Texas, Dallas versus Chennai Hi-tech match using the CISCO “Tele-Presence” Video conferencing facility.

GCP also organized the first ever online chess tourney in India for corporate employees called Pune Virtual Online chess tournament, which had the participation of hundreds of players from IT and ITES sectors.

Grassroots Chess Promotions under the aegis of All India Chess Federation successfully organized the India Global Internet Speed Chess tournament from 20th to 28th August, 2011.
